Gospel Oak
Come, gather round, O brethren come
Our march has just begun
With the blood that´s in our veins
We´re entitled to rule inferior men
Hatred, greed and fear
is a sinister mix for man
yet here we stand.
Words falling dead to the ground
As the drops of blood trickles
down the bark of the gospel oak
(Aint no grave gonna hold me down)
Words falling dead to the ground
From the men around the gospel oak
(Aint no grave gonna hold me down)
My brethren, I have communed with the Lord
His task for us is enslave and control
I don´t care for the New command
Coz it s the old world I understand
Strange how a task so dire
Matches up with the Lord’s desire
Words falling dead to the ground
As the drops of blood trickles
down the bark of the gospel oak
(Aint no grave gonna hold me down)
Words falling dead to the ground
From the men around the gospel oak
(Aint no grave gonna hold me down)
Words falling dead to the ground
as the drops of blood trickles
down the bark of the gospel oak
(Aint no grave gonna hold me down)
Words falling dead to the ground
from the men around
Coz it s the old world they understand

Our Only Hope
03:44
|

Our Only Hope
She was made in a dark cold alley
(Joan “Bone” Taylor)
Hidden out of sight
(Daughter of sailor)
She was the news that no one wanted
Born in spite
She was raised in haunted houses
And she fought with dogs
And when it came to second chances
She was out…
But on the fringes of all your beliefs
Grows the most beautiful rarities
When darkness falls…
Our only hope…
Our only fire to burn out the shame
Say her name!
He was born in purgatory
(Joe Consuela)
Fate out of his hands.
(Son of Valeda)
He was neither one or the other.
Shadowlands.
Knew himself through a broken mirror
Fractions in a frame
(Sort of native, sort of alien, one or the other)
Every single one was a fragment
(Sort of native, sort of alien, none or another)
woven with shame.
Through the waves of uncertainty
A rising statue of liberty
When darkness falls…
Our only hope…
Our only light that will harbour us all
Say his name!

Sanbenito
Blood Moon’s up in the city tonight
We have been given the key
A gift of light, emitting for all to see
Equipped with a cross and sword
We wer e left to our own acorde
Blood moons up in the city tonight
That’s when his men comes to fuss and fight
Blood runs cold in streets outside
As his men comes to shine the light
We will bring hell
And give these cobblestones a story to tell
A crown marked with fire and dread
Was placed on my head
…I’ll wear that thing with pride
Give me my Sanbenito…
Given to set us free
We’ll shape this book exactly how we want it to be
At least it all makes sense now
And better yet, it gives us control
Blood moons up in the city tonight
That’s when his men comes to fuss and fight
Blood runs cold in streets outside
As his men comes to shine the light
We won’t be denied
We have labeled this crown with demons and fire
Kneel as we worship might and dread
The crown is placed on your head
Dressed up in robes and layered garmends
The Sons perpetual grace just wouldn’t sell
Unmotherly based on win and warrant
Black Hearts rose up and conjured hell
I’ll wear that thing with pride
Give me my Sanbenito
And with the grace of my God inside
I will return to where I came from

Jig Is Up

Jig Is Up
Laying stone after stone
with questionable intentions
Conviction and appeal will lead to fascination
But saying something loud does not make it true
The Jig is up,
it doesn’t mean you’ll stop
The Jig is up,
but you’ve got more balls to drop
The Jig is up,
all your lifeblood is drying up
The Jig is up,
but you’ve got more room in your pawn shop
Your selling, something,
that was never yours to sell
A guiding map that leads to a heaven dressed as hell
To this we agree you will reap what you sow
I think you believe every word
of this lucrative story
You keep brushing up
our sins back to its former glory
Turn the whole thing on it’s head and say
There’s a way to ommition
that comes with only my condition
The Jig is up,
it doesn’t mean you’ll stop
The Jig is up,
but you’ve got more balls to drop
The Jig is up,
all your lifeblood is drying up
The Jig is up,
but you’ve got more room in your pawn shop
Theres no more time waste, let’s change the call
‘Cause we’re all willing to love in spite of it all
Why do you feel the need?
Empire built to fall
We’re all rooting for change
But not in this way
With every cog and spring of fear and hate
You’ve been peddling som serious
fictional real estate
The jig is up…

The Girl and the Raconteur
I know you think
they’re being inconvenient
As they’re screaming
from the back seat of our car
But rest assured
you won’t need their obeidence
As we kiss the brick and mortar
going a hundred miles per hour
There was a time
we all could see the garden wall
Where every shape and color
was allowed grow.
Now the ghost trees
have outgrown them all
Singing ‘we can grow much bigger,
´cause our gardner told us so’
We rest in our bed,
while smoke keeps creeping in
But we keep turning up the heat…
We’re on the last leg,
but sleep so peacefully
Sleep so peacefully…
But through the smoke
we saw someone who held up a sign
You need to quite down
and listen carefully
Don’t interupt our most
compelling raconteur
He´s reading from
the ‘tales of perpetuity’
And It is brimming full of fortune
but the moral’s more obscure
This tower will reach heaven
soon enough.
And we’ll get everything
that we’ve been dreaming of
Oh come on gather ‘round
let’s just celebrate
Who needs a common tounge
when we can formulate and disipate
We rest in our bed...
Please accept my apology
It’s a matter of proficiency
I have no trouble injecting
a solid dose of hypocracy
I shamefully wear
my molten crown of ingenuity
We rest in our bed while flames surge violently
But through the flames we saw
a brave girl who held up a sign
Right here, right now,
is where we draw the line

Daydrinker
The sun is rising
Shining on a new mistake
Where did my love go?
Guess the habits hard to break
It would be wise to sleep much longer
But I’d probably lose my mind
This small town skyline
It doesn’t pressure me at all
I’m already on the floor
There is no height left to fall
The grand piano looks so lonely
I know exactly how she feels…
I never had a penny to my name
But I know that I could change this world in some small way
Placed in the shade, daydrinker by trade
I wake up to see there’s nobody here except me
Shadows form to dance mockingly
I am fine with telling everyone I’m fine
truth is that I’ve been on a steady decline
I’ve been chasing wisdom all night long
The courage to change anything…
I was never OK with dwindling away
hoping to do something right despite my shame
Slowly self-made, daydrinker by trade
Here comes the rain (here´s my old friend)
I’m stuck in this hellavator going down again
What’s left to gain?
I’ve been looking for shelter long enough
To ease my pain..
Am I willing to say;
I do know the difference after all?
I think I’m fine with feeling small today
Tomorrow holds a promise that will change my ways
Finally at bay…
I wake up to see, there is no one to rescue me.
Darkness tends to move so silently

Tainted Mirror
03:03
|

Tainted Mirror
Window, tainted truth
Grant us carnal youth
Storm is taking hold
Feels so dark and cold
We wrestle with this strange desire
Poisenous and spreading like fire
Gospel changing form
shifted by this form
Diluted down and placed in lieu
of what we’re able to construe
Something slipped unnoticed
into our water stream
And with each handful
We’re quietly deceived
So raise our voices
Each single one with candour
Regardless of intent
will wipe out lies we just invent
Destroyer, taker of our lives
Break this glass and let in the light

Pearl
Hear these words
My soft voice speaks only truth
I will reveal myself to you
I'll see you through
You are beautiful
My love
Walk with me
All you'll ever need
I am
So come stay with me
My dear
Dwell in grace
All that I am I will complete
In you
I'll never leave you
My hand lies upon your head

Something Human

Something Human
Say there’s something in us all
Say there’s something human
We need to find it for us all
Darkness knows only to obscure
When all is said and done
The rain will fall on anyone
If we gaze up at the night sky
The stars guide the way for you and me
When all is said and done
The rain will fall on anyone
If we gaze up at the night sky
The stars guide the way for you and me
Each stumbled step will lead you home
And your waver turns to dance
Your heart transforms with movements
Elegantly wrapped in gloom
Let there be light
Say there´s something in us all
Say there´s something human
